Disneyland and the 3 seasons of your life

Our family just enjoyed our trip to Disneyland and Disney-Sea in Japan. It was a very enjoyable trip for the old(Senior folks like my Dad and my father-in-law), for the young(my 5 years old daughter) and ourselves(my husband and I ). This was the second time for both of us in Japan Disneyland.  Though I have been to Disney in Anaheim, I still enjoy Disneyland and Disney Sea Japan the best. (By the way, none of us know how to speak Japanese)

We were at Disneyland Japan on the first and second day of November. We expected that the crowd will be minimum since it was a weekday. However, we were wrong. The place is packed with locals. Japanese love Disneyland and Disney-Sea. The children, (babies, toddlers, children)Teenagers and Students, young adults, dating couples, families and seniors (silver liners) were all there. They were enjoying nearly everything, rides, food, parades, shopping, atmosphere, cartoon characters etc.

Sammi get to see her favorite character, the little mermaid face to face. We queued for 45 minutes before we can finally see a “mermaid” face to face and took some photographs with her. By the way, the mermaid is not a Japanese. She is from America and speaks English, to the delight of my daughter, whom can then conversed with her.  I saw too many senior folks holding hands trying on rides in Disneyland too !

Disneyland is indeed for all ages of time. It is not “lame ” as some of them would have said.  As for me, I do hope that I have Disneyland in Singapore. If so, I will definitely visit Disneyland at different phrases of my life.

My 2 cents worth of recommendations for people who plan to visit Disneyland:

1. Visit Disneyland when you are in love with the Disney characters

- When your live and breathe and see nothing but all your Disney characters. When you can watch the Disney cartoons again and again, replay more than thrice and do not get sick of them. When you are young (child or teenager ) with your parents

Trust me, this is the time when you do not have to pay a cent and get to enjoy the rides you want, the toys, cookies and all these pretty balloons and Disney items at the expense of your parents. As a parent, I  do spent a little over budget when my little princess asked for her Disney best items.

2. Visit Disneyland when you are in love.

-When your loved one is beside you and you just want to spent endless time with him/her.

The romance period spent in Disney is really worth it. It is a fairyland and it is one that you do not want to get out and be back into the reality world. When rides are mainly cater to 2 only and you can hold hands and scream loud on the Magic Mountain ! When you can hug each other under the fireworks in-front of the Castle and dream that you are the prince or the princess.

3. When you are senior in age and want to feel young once more.

- When you imagine you are young. Imagine you are a Adultkid and you have all your wealth and experience but you cannot turn back the clock nor buy time. Disneyland will be the best time to make you feel young and vibrant. It will be your fantasy to imagine and also be participating among the youthful and the active ones. How can one not feel young when you see the ever non-aging Mickey and Mimi as well as the princess and princes in the fairyland ?

I will visit Disneyland again when my daughter is older. She can then go for her rides when Mummy and Daddy can enjoy theirs. Then, my hubby and I will plan for our 30 years of wedding anniversary once again in Disneyland when we are near our retirement or at our retirement age. To me, Disneyland is timeless. I do want to be in fantasy land for longer period of time. Just like my daughter, she was crying all the way when we have to leave Disney-Sea to catch our flight back home.
