3 Wishes. What will it be ?
Posted: December 23, 2008There was a combined church service last Sunday. As usual, our church does not have service on Christmas eve or day. Last Sunday is considered as a Christmas service. Pastor Prince delivered a very simple but impressive sermon. It is bringing us back to fundamentals and meaning of who Jesus is and why He is born.
One thing that strike me is that the Greatest Gift that hang on the tree is not that Bright Star but it is Jesus. Jesus is the Greatest Gift of All.
Before the sermon ends, he asked us to ask for 3 wishes and present to God. These 3 wishes is not the Aladdin 3 wishes that the Genie will grant. It is the deep personal 2 wishes to God for the coming Y2009. I gave my 3 wishes too. One which I know will soon come to pass in Y2009. I have faith to believe as God stated ” Be fruitful and multiply” The other is for Blessed divine health. I cannot imagine how’s life will be if God is not there watching over all for everything that we partake or consume in our daily life. Like what my sister in law stated, each morning, awake and thank God for his blessings and the life He gave to us. Last wish is for abundant supply in Y2009. Abundant supply that our family and house has no lack but can provide and contribute back more to the building of the kingdom of God. Pastor Prince said it well, we are the children of God and joint heir with Jesus, when we claim our inheritance in faith, we can then help to provide to the poor needy. The perception that Christian’s are poor and meek are not truth. God is more than willing to make us prosper so that we can continue to bless others with our prosperity.
