Shichida Method- Space Memory

As I was sitting down last week noting down the Shichida class activities that my daughter has just completeed, I realized that space memory is something that I do need to practise with her more often.

What is space memory ?

It is a block of 16- 22 squares with different pictures. Each child is given 10 secs to remember the position and were asked to arrange it within the next 10 seconds.

What is the outcome ?

My daughter has done just average. She has 5 accurate pictures. This is not bad that being her, she seldoms able to focus and concentrate, exception will be computer and DS lite games.

Where do I get this set ?

It can be done up or it can be DIY. I have bought a set from Tensai and have occasionally been practising with her. I tried it on myself too. I can get at maximum 5 out of  blocks of  20 accurate.

Results.

memory should goes along with age right ? As you grow older, your memory should get better. Just like experiences. But it is not the case for memory. As you get older, your memory fails you. We need to exercise it like muscle. Regularly when we exercise our memory to remember more and more items, our memory will get better.
